JANUARY 5TH
Dell takes us to AUGRES, Michigan to learn more about efforts to preserve and promote the Walleye population in Saginaw Bay.
Then Barry visits Tom Moran of Moran Ironworks of ONAWAY. Here we learn about the construction and placement of the 35 ton Native American monument at the Michigan Magazine Museum.
JANUARY 12TH : SHOW #1603: Barry visits WEST BRANCH to learn more about the history and heritage of the cities famous landmark, the smile on the city's water tower and how it was conceived by "Mr. Smiley", the late Ralph Steinhouser.
Then Dell travels to HUBBARD LAKE to attend a meeting of an area Red Hat Society. The society is an organization for women only, where those of 50 years and over wear red hats and those under 50 wear purple. The organization is dedicated simply to having fun and is spreading throughout the world.
JANUARY 19TH : SHOW #1604: Dell continues his discovery of the Red Hatters of Michigan while visiting with Judy Kurnik of CHESANING, a mid Michigan "Queen Mother". Judy is publishing a book dedicated to her experiences as she formed the area chapter.
Barry then visits with SAGINAW freelance photo-journalist Ray Malace.
JANUARY 26TH : SHOW #1605: Barry returns to the Family Bookshelf in FAIRVIEW to learn more about the non-profit store's efforts to assist third world countries by selling thier products.
Dell talks with Richard Kellogg, author of "Wall of Silver". The book tells of Richard's experience in finding an actual silver mine in Michigan's Keewanaw Peninsula. The true story tells of how the mine was discovered...then lost.
FEBRUARY 2005
FEBRUARY 2nd : SHOW #1606: Dell continues his visit with Richard Kellogg author of A WALL OF SILVER. The story of a real life lost U.P. Silver Mine Then Barry heads to MIO to visit with award winning fish decoy wood carver Tom Christenson. FEBRUARY 9TH : SHOW #1607: Barry continues his visit with photo journalist Raymond Malace of SAGINAW. Ray shares with us photo techniques he’s perfected in his travels around the world as a freelance photo journalist. Then Dell visits with Award winning artist , and children’s book illustrator of GRAND BLANC, Dan Waltz. Dan’s past Illustrating accomplishments include Freckles The Frog, Mortimer Jones, Bugs in my Backyard, and Angelina Katrinia Builds Troy Snowman. FEBRUARY 16TH : SHOW #1608: Dell visit’s the Historic Elowsky Grist Mill in POSEN. Dell is given a personal tour by guide Gary Tiffanty. In this segment we learn of the ongoing efforts to preserve and restore this historic structure constructed back in the 1880s. Then Barry visit’s the historic fish hatchery in Grayling during their big anniversary celebration. The hatchery has become a one of a kind living museum. We learn more about ongoing efforts to restore and preserve the site which has been in existence for decades. FEBRUARY 23rd : SHOW #1609: Barry learns more about growing Roses in Michigan as he visits Great Lakes Roses in BELLEVILLE, Michigan. Here we visit with owner Nancy Lindley who has just authored, with Laura Peters, the gardening book, ROSES FOR MICHIGAN. The book is a comprehensive guide on raising beautiful roses in any location and hardiness zone across the state. Then Dell visits with author/illustrator Michael Glenn Monroe at last years Michigan Magazine Expo. Here we learn about Michael’s new book “A” Is For Ark , a children’s alphabet book based on the Bible.

November 2nd SHOW #1645: Barry visits the Flour Garden restaurant in Harrisville
Dell learns about the man made gems at the Shelby Gemstone Factory of Shelby.
November 9th SHOW #1646: Dell travels to St. Helen to learn of the Fine Art China Painting of Sandra Bacon
Then Barry gets into the holiday spirit as he takes in the annual Berkley Christmas Parade then partakes of some delicious Polish Cooking at a reception following the parade!
November 16th: SHOW #1647: Barry travels to St. Helen to learn more about the ARK, the Association to Rescue Kritters. It’s an organization dedicated to rescuing injured wild animals then returning them to the wild after rehabilitation.
Then Dell learns more about the operation of the Tip of The Mitt watershed organization which is dedicated to protecting Michigan’s water resources.
November 23rd SHOW #1648: Dell visits with Mark Jager, author of the Mystic Michigan series, about his latest book that deals with more Michigan mysteries.
Then Barry visits with ”Paleo Joe” and learns more about life in prehistoric Michigan. Joseph Kchodl has a vast collection of actual Trilobite treasures!
November 30th: SHOW #1649: Barry visits with Ryan and Terry Anderson who have created a web site dedicated to Michigan products ONLY called Buy Michigan Products dot com.
Then Dell returns to Tendercare of Alpena to learn more about the artistic residents.
DECEMBER
December 7th : SHOW #1650: Dell travels to Sterling Heights to visit with the inventors of the Griddle Q....griddles designed for the top of gas grills. http://www.littlegriddle.com
Barry travels to the Bay City Fairgrounds for part one of his coverage of the Great Lakes Nationals tractor pull event.
December 14th : SHOW #1651: Barry visits Grandma Janet Mary of St. Johns, Michigan to learn more about her new line of children’s books dedicated to that special relationship between grandparents and grand kids.
Then Dell visits Brooklyn, Michigan, and the home of Gerald Hill an incredible American Landmark and Maritime Artist.
December 21st : SHOW #1652: Dell heads into the family kitchen with Deb and Diane for some delicious Christmas Cookies!
Then Barry visits the Christmas Wonderland of Old World Canterbury Village near Lake Orion.
December 28th : SHOW #1653: Barry visits the Surline Middle School of West Branch to prepare holiday cookies with students and staff.
Then Dell returns to Nettie Bay Lodge in Hawks for a behind the scenes look at what’s cooking in the kitchen of Mark and Jackie’s new restaurant!
JANUARY
January 4th : SHOW #1701: Dell and Barry highlight events of their Michigan Magazine Expo 2005. Interviews include authors, jewelry makers, leaf artists, water color artists and nut butter makers!
January 11th : SHOW #1702: Barry and Dell continue with highlights of last years Expo Arts and Crafts Show on the grounds of the Michigan Magazine Museum.
January 18th : SHOW #1703: Dell visits Michigan’s Lumberman’s Monument on the banks of the Au Sable River. Dell talks to Delynn Lovelace of the U.S. Forest Service about the history of the Monument that was erected in 1931 as a lasting memorial to the lumbermen that harvested Michigan’s giant white pine
Then Barry returns for part two of his coverage of The Great Lakes Nationals Tractor Pull competition held last summer at the Bay City Fairgrounds!
January 25th : SHOW #1704: Barry and the Travel Ambassadors of the Michigan Magazine Museum continue their U.P. journey for more discovery that includes an upper peninsula light house and sacred Indian burial grounds.
Then Dell continues his visit at the Lumberman’s Monument near Oscoda as guide Delynn Lovelace of the U.S. Forest Services gives us a tour of a reconstructed wanigan. Wanigans were floating cook shacks that followed as logs were floated from inland forests to sawmills along Lake Huron during Michigan’s legendary logging era.
